April 17, 2014

Its been almost an entire year since I did a post but in the last year: I got pregnant in May (had bad evening sickness) worked the Farmers Market all summer and into the fall. Moved in August. Moved in November. During that time I was watching my nephew and in October until Thanksgiving, I watched my niece as well. Then in New Years Eve, I had our beautiful baby girl Clara Jane. Its been a busy year but I wouldn't have traded it for anything, maybe a little bit more sleep. But now I get more sleep than I have since before I had Phillip so I cant complain, I get tired yes but it can always be worse :)
Last night my mother and I were in a Ladies Night Out at Moss Greenhouse. We don't do too many events because it's a lot of work and we like to enjoy downtime before the Market starts up again in June, but this is a good way to promote the Farmers Market and get things going again.

My dear friend Emma watched the boys and the plan was to have Phil come and help when Clara needed attention but that wasn't how it went.
When I got to the event to set up I found out that there was some miscommunication with people coming to help so it was just my mom and I. We set up as she and I made phone calls, bless my dad and Phil for coming to save the day. Phil got there and he had to run home because a pipe burst in our front yard. JOY... so there was a 5 foot geyser spraying on our property and water draining down the street. He went home and was able to fix it, so poor thing was running around all night as well.
With us working together we were able to get the market promoted and have a fun evening. Clara was having allergies in the greenhouse so I had to take her home early and put the boys to bed because they had school the next morning. They were exhausted from playing with their friends so now we get to relax for a day until our family comes up for Easter which we are so excited for! My boys love seeing their cousin friends.

I cant seem to upload any photos. The first table was the goats milk soap from Utah and had 3 new varieties. My favorite right now is Ginger Lime, they go so good together! Another table was filled with the gourmet vinegars and oils from Northern Idaho, the oils are new this year and I can't wait to cook with the mandarin orange flavor. The last booth was my jams and honey. I made 6 varieties of jam, and had 3 sizes of the bottled honey. Ill be ordering more of the smaller size because we sold out of the tiny ones. They are so cute and only $3.00 a bottle! Also on the table was pancake, muffin, brownie and cornbread mixes, as well as blueberry and strawberry syrups that I made.

We're excited to start the Market again soon!

Gratitude

We have had a pretty interesting April so far this month. The last few weeks have been especially busy and at some point random but grateful to be here. Literally.

Im going to talk about Phil for now, we are so blessed and grateful to have him here today. First Im gonig to add a small note, when we are driving sometimes he forgets to put his seatbelt on and when Im with him I get after him like crazy, it's just something you dont mess with I always tell him. Anyway, he was driving home from work and a tire from his breeding vehicle blew out. He drove beteween a power pole and a power box, barely grazing some plastic on the box. The car hit a wooden fence and he kept driving into a field, the car finally stopped because another tire blew and the rims wore down to nothing. While he was going through a the fence, a piece of it came through the driver side window and Phil was able to move fast enough out of the way. When he stopped and unbuckled his seatbelt he noticed there was a nail at the end of the pole. The only damage that happened to him was as the pole was coming he moved his hand up to protect his face and some glass scratched his hand.

All I can say right now is we are so happy he's alright, I just tear up when the story is repeated, Heavenly Father was watching over us that day. Phil is still tired but he is okay, he has been resting but he didnt have any bruises or scratches. Our boys knew something was going on during this time because they kept asking were daddy was, I told them that he had gotten hurt and will be home soon. When Phil came home they went rushing to him and wouldnt leave his side for a while.
This week it seemed we had a lot going on but after that none of it mattered. We have been just grateful for our blessings and holding on to the precious moments with our loved ones.

March 1, 2013

Weve had an enjoyable rest of February and great March 1st. At the end of the month, Phil's friend Nate who we met at BYU-I came down to stay with us for a couple days and brought his son Tucker, while his wife and little girl were getting ready to fly down and meet them in California. It was great catching up with him and meeting the little guy. Thanks Jessica for letting me snuggle with Tucker he is a sweetheart!

One of the days it snowed and we have windows were you can watch outside and so we got Phillip snuggled up and he enjoyed the snow falling from the kitchen. It doesnt last very long but it's still pretty to see.

It was finally warm enough to go out and play! The boys were still bundled up but theyre enjoying our big back yard they can run around and sometimes get muddy in.

Today was so warm that we got to go to a park! We invited our old neighbors Whitney and Emma and they brought their kiddos and played. It was so sunny and the boys all loved it. We are definitley ready for the sunshine to be out and playing outdoors again.

January and Feburary 2013

We have been busy the last couple of months with Christmas, an Oregon trip, Phillip starting sunbeams and preschool and our biggest adventure is that we moved! A couple of days after Christmas we headed up to Oregon and spent New Years with Phil's family. The boys did great on the drive up and nobody got car sick! YAY! (The last couple of drives I have gotten thrown up on by one of the boys) While there, we got to go to a bounce house were Phil and his brother Blake had a lot of fun wrestling and racing through things while Phillip and Jack mostly stayed on one area where they would go up sonme stairs and go down a slide. It definetly wore everyone out. We also went to the Oregon Zoo look at Christmas lights, it was so fun! We didnt see any animals but the lights were amazing, and we got to ride on a train through the zoo and see lights in the shape of animals. The boys loved it; while waiting in line we were almost to the entrance when the train was full and left, the boys were so heartbroken they didnt go on the train but shortly after, a second train came and soon they got happy again. We also got to spend time with Phil's Great Uncle Pat and Aunt Karen and his Uncle Chris, It's always fun to see them. Shortly before leaving the boys warmed up to Uncle Pat and were happy. We like to go Salem and ride on a carosal it's always fun and the boys are big enough they can both ride on it! They smile alot while we do that. There is also a park just outside the boys can play on and in the summer there is a place that shoots water out of the ground. I think our area needs something like that. New Years Eve, Phil's parents watched the boys and we got to go out on a date. It was great because I didnt know it was happening and it was a nice surprise, Phil and Shan always great like that. We went out to dinner the next evening with Phils Grandma, Phillip Arnold, Chris, Nichole, Ashely and Peyton. Its always good to see them. Well be going to Oregon in the Springtime again and are looking forward to it. The boys always like seeing Shan and Phil and their favorite uncles Blake and Grant, they always get to wrestle and play with them and Sierra spoils them.

Im always catching Phillip organizing something

First day of school!
First day of Sunbeams
Phillip started J.E.E.P. (Jerome Early Education Program) He has a little language delay which is, he can understand and hear well, he just cant communicate or talk well. Phillip loves going and has improved so much already with little time he has been there. His favorite part of the day is riding the bus. He always has a big smile when he gets on and when he comes home. He is always bringing home pictures he has drawn and a story of something that I cant understand just yet :) He also started sunbeams class in church. He is still getting used to not going to nursery anymore, once his teacher wasnt there and he went into nursery just so he could be with Jackson. Jackson is getting used to Phillip being gone in the morning, but Theo usually shows up shortly after and he has someone to entertain him.

Valentines Day
Master bath, not fond of the paint
but love the tub!
Two weeks after we got home from Oregon we moved into a bigger home! Its still in Jerome and is only a few blocks away from our old home but were in a different ward and were closer to Phillips school. If there was not fence he could walk onto the playground. We love our new home and are so happy with it. The other home was fine but we needed more space and outgrew it. I still watch Theo and occasionally other children too. At one point I had a baby sleeping in my closet, one on the couch, two in another room, and one in the guest room, and there were other children awake. We want to have more babies someday (no Im not expecting) and we had filled absoultly every living and storage space possible. We were looking around randomly and found this new house. It was double the square footage and we only had to pay about $50.00 more a month. We prayed about it and it was what we needed to do. Im still sorting and finding homes for things but it's been great. Ill put photos up soon!

Phil's taking 2 classes this semester and one is online, so he's been busy too. One really busy days I help him out with his homework if I can. Not saying I do it but I help with research. This will be his last semester for a while, I'd like to go back to school sometime and take a couple classes at a time but well see. Ive always loved school and learning new things. I always say that Ill try and write more soon but I think Ill be able to keep up more now well see... xoxo Ana

April and May

Thanks to my Aunt Joani for reminding me that the blog needed a new update, I decided to get on it. Thanks Joani for helping me out, I appreciate it.
The months of April and May are going to be combined as you can guess so there are going to be more pictures than usual. Which I'm sure no one minds seeing pictures of the boys :)
April was the month I watched Theo the most, he came over Tuesday through Friday from sometimes 8 or 10 in the morning until 6 in the evening. Playing with him and the boys, then cleaning up after them what I did most of April. Jackson and Theo also got the chicken pox in April, poor little guys, they were so good for being sick. Jackson continues to pass out, but we noticed it happens when he is super tired or overwhelmed. We're hoping he wont do that for much longer, anyone who sees it happens see how scarey it is. Jackson continues to be his happy self during the rest of the time, we try and stick to his routine he is comfortable with but it can't always happen.

Here are some of the adventures and fun times we had with Theodore:

We went to Maddison's house and looked at the baby cows.

She knows exactly whats going on!

We had an indoor picnich with our neighbor friends, Isaac and Carter.

Made lots of messes, this one I thought itd be fun to play with cereal and put them in different containers. Cereal ended up in every room in the house. No joke!

I love Jacksns face!
The boys had lots and lots of bubble baths together and they loved it!

Happy Easter!
Getting ready to go on a Easter Egg hunt

Easter Sunday at Grandpa Kent's and Grandma Kathy's. Phillip likes to ride and sit on Gordo

MAY

The month of May has come by quickly as well, especially the weekend of May 12th. Friday the 11th, I got to drive up to Boise Airport and pick up our friend Nate, who we havent seen for 2 years so he could visit his Grandpa. While in Boise, we stopped by and saw my old roommate Evoni and her husband Ian. It was fun but not long enough catching up with them and visiting. Nate and I drove home and when Phil got home I made them stay up with me and had them cut fruit for my Activity Day Party. When we finished that up Sierra came over and shortly after she arrived, Shan drove in from Oregon. We went to bed late and woke up early.
That morning I had an Ettiquite Activities Day Brunch for Mother's Day. The girls and their mothers were invited to dress up and enjoy a breakfast and have a program. My partner Mallory and I decided that we would like the girls to know basic manners, such as graciousness, posture, and generally being kind towards others. Our girls are amazing and so kind already but sometimes we need a friendly reminder.
Anneli Crouch was our speaker and hostess. She was amazing and the party wouldnt have been the same without her help. We aslo had Kelly Williams also spoke to the girls about the importance of having a good relationship with their mothers. She did a wonderful job as well.
The rest of the weekend we spent with Shan, Sierra, and Nate. It's hard having family live so far away, there is never enough time to spend and share with them. But we were happy with what time we did have. Sunday Mother's Day was also Phil's 25th Birthday, so we got to celebrate all day with one another.
The next Saturday was my 25th Birthday as well, I got to spend the afternoon with Phil and the boys. After lunch we came home and all took a short nap, when Phil had to leave for work I took the boys to my parents house and my mom, sister in law Hilary, and I all went and saw the movie Battleship. It was fun having girl time with no little boys :) We came home and had a nice dinner together, and Chanell and the Tony's came over and celebrated with us. It was a great birthday and I loved sharing it with family.
The rest of this month we are going to be preparing for the Farmer's Market that starts June 2nd at the Crossroads Point across from Flying J. Please come and support your local famers! Itll be great!
Here are some more photos and events that happened in the month of May. Hope everyone is doing well, take care and love you lots!
Love, Ana G.

March 2012

Well this month of March has been a busy one, we have all had the cold and flu bug that went around and are getting over that now. Poor Jackson was congested in his lungs and he cried so hard a couple of times that he passed out! It scared me for a little bit, but then he came around again. I took him to the Doctor and he wasnt too concerned, just need to keep an close eye on him for a while.

Phil is working hard with his jobs and staying busy with school. He is so amazing and we are grateful for what he does for our family. Him and I have been doing projects together around the home inside and out, I love spending time and working along with him.

I got a new church calling with the Activity Day girls and I love it! We meet twice a month and we have about 10 girls at a time, they are so fun and Im really looking forward to be with them more.

Jackson is 16 months and just discoverd that he can climb onto the chairs and get things off the table, such as this banana :) he was so proud!

We are currently working on Phillip for potty training, he does good when were at home. Soon I will only have to change one set of diapers! Sorry that he is a nuddie :)

I started watching our nephew Theodore during the week, he is only a couple of months older than Jackson, and they are great buds. He is an easy going little guy and is so fun! It defenitly is keeping me busy, but the weather is getting warmer and we can play outside together.

Happy New Year!

Phillip and Jackson helping me with laundry. Jackson was just upset that Phillip was in the dryer with him, he wasnt hurt at all.

Hello everyone! I know that I say that Im going to try and update this more often and then a long long time later I do. So this year Im going to try and do at least an update once a month. Wish me luck :)
This 2012, I've decided to try and accomplish goals that I set. For example
  • Read the Book of Mormon - I have done this before but its always good to read it again
  • Everyday I want to have the boys discover something new
  • Phil is so amazing I want to do more special things just for him - it doesnt have to be anything big, but just to let him know how much the boys and I love him.
  • Blog once a month at least :)
  • Finally, Im going to try and be happy and uplifting to those around me

There are more things I'd like to do this year, I have a lot of fun projects such as scrapbooking, gardening, and other to do's around the home. As the year progresses I'll try and remember to post them up! Happy New Year and we love you.
